Jaraguá Verde Project

At Companhia Eletroquímica Jaraguá, we believe that protecting the environment is an investment in the future. Respect for nature is an integral part of our values and is reflected in initiatives that promote sustainable development, environmental restoration, and community awareness.

With this commitment, we created the Green Jaraguá Project, a reforestation and environmental education program that encourages the preservation of natural resources through the free distribution of tree seedlings to rural producers, schools, institutions, and local communities.

Growing a Greener Future

The project distributes native, fruit-bearing, and ornamental tree species, helping restore degraded areas, preserve biodiversity, and expand native vegetation.

Among the species distributed are ipê, peroba, cedar, jabuticaba, cambucá, native palm trees, and many other species adapted to the local environment.

Each seedling represents the beginning of a new life cycle, contributing to ecosystem conservation, improved soil quality, water resource protection, and greater environmental awareness throughout the communities we serve.

A Commitment That Continues to Grow

Since its launch, the Green Jaraguá Project has distributed more than 85,000 tree seedlings, becoming one of the region’s most significant environmental initiatives.

Over the years, the project has contributed to the restoration of degraded land, the creation of new green areas, and the preservation of Brazil’s native tree species, generating environmental benefits that will endure for generations.

More than simply planting trees, Jaraguá Verde seeks to inspire a lasting culture of environmental stewardship, demonstrating how individual actions can create meaningful collective impact.

Sustainability and Solidarity Working Together

The impact of Jaraguá Verde extends beyond environmental preservation.

Everyone who receives a tree seedling is invited, on a voluntary basis, to donate a non-perishable food item—an initiative that gave rise to the Feeding Lives (Alimentando Vidas) Project.

This connection transforms an environmental initiative into a continuous act of solidarity, providing food to hundreds of vulnerable families while new trees are planted throughout the region.
