It was with this purpose in mind that the Feeding Lives Project was created—an initiative that complements the Jaraguá Verde Project, transforming an environmental action into a lasting cycle of social support.

Planting Hope, Sharing Solidarity

 

The project is simple, voluntary, and transformative.

​

Everyone who receives a free tree seedling through the Jaraguá Verde Project is invited to donate a non-perishable food item. Participation is entirely voluntary, yet the collective impact has been extraordinary.

​

While thousands of trees help restore degraded areas and promote environmental awareness, every food donation brings dignity, comfort, and hope to families facing hardship.

​

By connecting environmental preservation with social responsibility, the Feeding Lives Project creates lasting benefits for both the environment and the community.

A Partnership That Changes Lives

 

All donated food is delivered directly to Missão Marta e Maria, a charitable organization that has been serving the city of Formiga, Minas Gerais, since 2011 through an important social assistance program supporting vulnerable families and people experiencing homelessness.

 

With the support of dedicated volunteers, the organization currently assists approximately 260 families, providing weekly support and distributing more than 400 food baskets every month, while also offering guidance, care, and assistance to those in need.

 

Thanks to the commitment of the local community and the participation of hundreds of employees and partners, Companhia Eletroquímica Jaraguá has already collected and donated more than 32 metric tons of food, becoming one of Missão Marta e Maria’s leading partners and directly contributing to the food security of thousands of people over the years.
